The Corporate Intelligence team provides investigative support in cases of Fraud, litigation and other instances where the information gathered is used to assist in the identification of crucial information towards further decision making by the stakeholders.
The team undertakes the following work:
- Integrity Due Diligence work for clients considering an acquisition or alliance with a third party often in high risk geographies;
- Background checks of key individuals or organizations.
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Research: Undertake online and external source research and analysis of information by gathering information on companies or individuals;
- Report verification and writing: Compile the information in a detailed and succinct manner and presenting in a written report.
The following skills are required for this role:
- You are recently graduated (less than 2 years ago) and have a master degree in one of the following disciplines: Law, International Business, Political Science, International Relations, Criminology, Economics and/or Journalism;
- Strong research skills and analytical skills including precision with the ability to draw concise and evidence-based conclusions from the research conducted;
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to produce high quality documents under time pressure;
- Excellent English language (written and spoken);
- Second language: Arabic, Spanish or Portuguese (Brazilian or European), Indian and/or Russian;
- Technology savvy: Creative approaches to use the internet based research tools (Factiva, Google etc). Experience with other tools like Lexis Nexis, Datastar etc is desirable, but not essential;
- Team player, ability to cope with stressful deadlines, flexibility, time management;
- Some experience in having worked in multi nationals in the area of Compliance is desired.
This position is part of the Deals & Forensics group, which is part of our Advisory practice. Advisory is helping clients in different fields, e.g. mergers & acquisitions, performance improvement or crisis management.
